Thanks for visiting my site. Here, you’ll find intelligent, insightful writing on sports, especially baseball in Washington, D.C. — both its history and its current incarnation. I hope you will enjoy what you read here, that you’ll offer a comment or two, and that you’ll visit often. Once I learn the in and outs of this site, I plan to post some pictures of the 1969 Senators and some sound bites from interviews I conducted with former players, coaches, broadcasters and fans from that amazing team that won 86 games and vaulted rookie skipper Ted Williams to the American League Manager of the Year.
Ready? Let’s talk some baseball.
Steve,
I know of no one with more knowledge and respect for the love of sports then you Steve. The many hours we shared talking and living sports there is no better man to have a sports site then you. Finally a site with dignity – hard to find these days anywhere especially in the Washington DC area. Way to go buddy.
Are you the Steve I think you are? Nice blog any way. I was think about doing one myself one day.
Hi Steve! Your old Chantilly High buddy Dan Rudge just dropping a note to say hello. Good luck on your book! My wife and I live in Richmond and Ray and I stay in touch (that’s how I found your blog). Drop me an e-mail sometime so I can keep in regualr contact.
Dan
